Logic's 'Liars' Welcome to Logic's 'Liars'! This section lists the names of well known people and experts whom I consider myself to have outsmarted. But you can be the judge of that :) Now, don't get me wrong. I'm a kind person, and I have respect for everyone I engage in debate with, unless they provide me with reason to think otherwise. With that said, my site is about providing interesting "A-Ha" moments to readers. Moments when you become aware of a point that you've literally never heard anyone ever make! As part of that process, I examine and challenge (or praise, where warranted) the ideas of others! So, this section is about having a bit of fun and counting my conquests, if you will, while at the same time providing an interesting starting point for readers unfamiliar with my site! Every time that I battle wits with an expert or well known person, the list will be updated, and a link to the corresponding article will be added. I certainly encourage those I write about to respond to my criticism of their logic! I would be willing to publish their rebuttal. In fact, a subject of one of my articles (Kevin D. Williamson, deputy managing editor of National Review) responded to the article in the comment section. Before reading the list, please read the notes at the end of the list! So that it's clear that nobody on the list is accused of being a liar. It's simply a battle of wits :) And with that, here's the list! Disclaimer and Explanation The term Logic's 'Liars' isn't at all meant to imply that any of the people on the list are a liar. The term is simply a play on my claim that some of the person's arguments were illogical and/or weren't optimal. The list was created with the intention of summarizing the articles in an interesting manner! The intent is simply to suggest that the persons on the list have provided an argument that is illogical and/or not optimal. The list provides the link to the corresponding commentary. Readers can judge for themselves as to whether they feel I have indeed outsmarted the person on the list! Inclusion on the list doesn't mean that I dislike that person, and inclusion on the list certainly doesn't mean that the person is any of the following: Lying Unintelligent Biased Intentionally misleading Intentionally incorrect Negative, mean or evil Illogical about most arguments he/she makes Irrational about most arguments he/she makes In fact, many people on the list are very intelligent. Their level of intelligence is likely a factor that helped them become an expert or become well known in the first place! One of the aims of this site is to demonstrate the belief that very intelligent people, including geniuses, while intelligent, are often not intelligent enough to be able to provide the best solutions for society!
